Hi Guys!

Mother’s day is just around the corner now, and I have some gorgeous gift ideas from luxury lifestyle company Amara to share with you today.

If you’re unfamiliar with Kate Spade New York, you really need to click on the link above and see what you’re missing! To sum up the brand – Kate Spade is where crisp colour and graphic prints collide with playful sophistication. It’s aesthetic is luxury crossed with quirky – which is my idea of heaven! They have a massive range of products too, covering clothing, jewellery, bags, stationery, home accessories, bedding and gifts.

When it comes to gifting, luxury stationery is always going to be a winner – and Kate Spade produce some of the most beautiful stationery products money can buy.

This  is just wonderful, and would make the perfect gift for any stationery fan. It comes in two sizes (this is the smaller one) and I love that it’s just so colourful and fun, featuring painterly bright objects on the front, including a flamingo, ladybird and a pineapple.

If you’re looking for something slightly more unusual, what about this lovely ? It’s made of high quality thick acrylic, and features a high shine gold base – you can just see engraved in the inside at the bottom it says ‘a stroke of genius’ – this is such a fun and quirky touch!

And lastly, how awesome is this ? Mum’s definitely deserve cake for breakfast on Mother’s day (I may have to make a few hints myself about this) and this mug is bright, cute and colourful, and I think anyone would love it.

I really can’t get enough of Kate Spade products right now – I may have to treat myself to a purse or bag next! (or maybe some more stationery?) I’d love to hear if you’re a fan?

Oliver Bonas Home Accessories Haul!

Posted on November 29, 2015

Hi Guys!

I hope you’re having a great weekend?

I must admit I have gone a little bit crazy lately with buying home and photography accessories. I’ve been hitting my favourite online stores like a woman on a mission – and I haven’t left anywhere empty handed! I also still have most of my Christmas shopping to do too, oops!

I live not far from Norwich in a small town, and unfortunately we don’t have many decent shops at all, so I always do my shopping online. One of the first online stores I hit was the fantastic . I absolutely love this store, their aesthetic is just so me. They sell a massive range of products including home accessories, stationery, jewellery and even clothing.

So firstly, how could I resist these copper wire 3D letters, to spell out TSNC!? I thought these would make fantastic background accessories for my photos, I’m over the moon with them! And I know copper is everywhere at the moment, but I love it!

I also picked up a gold framed hanging glass terrarium, just because it was so pretty. I’m not gonna lie, I had to google what a terrarium was… so for those not in the know, it’s basically a glass container, traditionally used for displaying minature plants inside. One side of the terrarium has a space left free of glass so you have easy access inside. I wasn’t really sure what I’d put in it until I saw some copper string lights on the site – yes I know more copper! I thought I might play around with these as a photography accessory, putting them in the terrarium and wrapping them round things. I’ll see how it goes.

And you know how I feel about stationery… well I bought two more notebooks that I don’t really need. They’re just so awesome and bright! I also grabbed a lovely set of three coloured washi tapes – I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it yet but at least I have some now for when I’m feeling creative!

And lastly, I also picked up a multi coloured paper chain, this is such a simple yet effective idea for adding a bit of colour to a wall, shelves or anywhere you like really.

I’m over the moon with all my goodies, and if you haven’t heard of Oliver Bonas before, I suggest you check their site out now as they have a sale on 🙂

So what do you think? I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

Hi Guys!

I appear to be having a bit of a stationery obsession at the moment, so when the team from Too Wrapped Up ed me asking if I’d like to share some of their products with you guys, well I just couldn’t say no! 😀

Too Wrapped Up are a fantastic one stop shop for original gifts, cards and wrapping paper, especially curated for creative types who love gifting but are just a bit too short on time to trawl around the shops. Their aim is to ‘bring you super stuff at reasonable prices from the best new designers to inspire your gifting.’

As you can see above, they also wrap your gifts in beautiful wrapping paper which is handpicked especially to match your purchase, which I think is a lovely touch!

They kindly sent over the Creatures of the North Notebook (£7.00) and the Good Stationery Set (£12.00)

The Creatures of the North Notebook is a gorgeous chunky A5 notebook by Stormy Knight, featuring a repeat pattern of eight super sweet Nordic creatures, including a fox, a brown bear, a bison, a moose, an arctic fox, a lynx, a reindeer and a wolf. This notebook is made of 100% recycled manilla card cover and contains 100 lined pages on FSC approved paper.

Next up is the GOOD Stationery Set by The Green Gables. Now this is not just one item, it’s a whole stationery set… ooohh! Included is a lovely A5 Kraft cover notebook, four A6 printed note cards with envelopes, a sheet of 15 stickers, and a pencil with an eraser and a metal pencil sharpener. Which really is a complete bargain for £12.00! It’s also lovely to know that the A5 notebook, note cards and envelopes are all made with recycled paper, and the pencil is made in Britain with wood from responsibly managed forests.

I should also point out that this set is made by The Green Gables, who work with the Fresh Start Foundation to supply children in The Gambia with the equipment they need to study and build a better future for themselves. On purchasing this set, The Green Gables will make sure a child in The Gambia will receive a school stationery kit including two exercise books (paper is very expensive in The Gambia), a pencil with eraser and a pencil sharpener. Amazing!

The Weekly Top 5 #16

Posted on August 23, 2015

the-weekly-top-5-no-16

Hi Guys!

Happy Sunday! 🙂

Is it me or do the weeks just seem to be flying by really quickly at the moment? I saw someone tweet that X Factor is starting next weekend, which pretty much means it’s Christmas really doesn’t it? Crazy! Anyway, we’ve had a great couple of weeks with my brother in law and his family, they came over from Japan and for the last two weeks we’ve been having some lovely days out. Freddy’s really going to miss his cousin now they’ve gone, so I’m trying not to talk too much about them as I don’t want him to get upset.

Hopefully blogging will return to normal this week. Just from having a few days out and evening meals, I’ve found it so much harder to plan my time and fit everything in. I should have a whole load of posts coming up this week with some gorgeous new beauty products and stationery to show you.

Here’s this weeks top five –

from Flamingo Candles. This scent takes me right back to my childhood when I had a phase of having lemon curd sandwiches for breakfast! I just love the sweet smell of this candle, it’s lemony-sweet and yummy and just makes my house smell amazing. Flamingo Candles offer a massive range of scents that are really affordable, so definitely check their site out if you’re a candle fan!

from Ban.do. My amazing stationery order from Ban.do finally arrived (after some rather hefty import fees) and I think I’m in love! I’ll have the full details in a post hopefully later this week, but until then, just marvel at the beauty of my new agenda! Isn’t it pretty!

from ASOS. I had a little ASOS splurge last week and bought myself some much needed new clothes. Half the items didn’t fit – thank God for free returns hey! But out of the few that did, my favourite was easily this really simple but pretty skater dress. It hugs me in the right areas, and skims over those I’d rather cover up. The colour is also much nicer than the picture, it’s more of a muted terracotta-red shade. I’m very happy with this purchase!

from Boots. Considering Nivea is a massively popular brand, I haven’t actually tried many of their products at all. So I was really excited when this brand new eye makeup remove arrived on my doorstep last week. The Daily essentials Double Effective Eye Make-up Remover has a two-phase extra strength formula, including an oil phase to effectively remove even waterproof mascara and eye-make-up, and an aqueous phase to protect and care for the eye lashes, without leaving an oily residue. And it really does work! It takes my eyeliner and waterproof mascara off with minimal rubbing, and leaves my eyes feeling clean, refreshed and happy!

And lastly  – I have some gorgeous pieces from Pia that I’ve been wearing this week, including this beautiful Mystic Topaz ring. Keep an eye on the blog later this week for my full post 🙂

In case you missed it –

#Bloggerbalckmail has been the talk of the week on social media, and when I say this week, it was trending on Twitter on Monday, being mentioned on Tuesday, and pretty much forgotten about by Wednesday. In case you somehow missed this and want to catch up with the drama, take a look here for my thoughts.

Other things worth mentioning –

As a blogger, you know when you get a really exciting email and your heart skips a beat? Well I had one of those last week. A very exciting project is on the cards, it’s only in the very beginning stages right now, so watch this space!

Stationery Just Got Sexy…

Posted on July 29, 2015

stationery just got sexy_edited-1

Hi Guys!

Ok so I’ve been on a complete stationery binge lately, and there really is no better word to describe it than a BINGE. I’ve been so good for ages (and by ages I mean weeks) only window shopping and not actually buying anything, then the other day I just snapped, and I bought ALL THE THINGS. Which haven’t actually arrived yet, so I’ll post about them when they do! Apart from makeup, stationery is something I really just can’t help buying. I love anything that’s brightly coloured, patterned, gold and while. Any combination of these features and I’m pretty much guaranteed to buy it! Even though I already have pens and pencils and notepads coming out of my ears, as soon as I see a pretty new stationery product I HAVE TO BUY IT. I’m sure I’m not the only blogger that has this problem, so if you’re like me, please feel free to tell me all about your stationery addiction too in the comments so I don’t feel so bad 🙂

So on my latest stationery hunt, I discovered quite a few awesome brands, including Kate Spade, Hay and ban.do to name but a few. I thought I’d put together a little wish list so I could share some of my lustings with you…

Do any of these gorgeous goodies take your fancy? Let me know what you think!

ASOS Accessories Sale Haul!

Posted on July 1, 2015

asos-sale-picks

Hi Guys!

Ooh I do love a good bargain, and I’m pretty much guaranteed to grab something from ASOS’s regular sales every single time. They have SO MANY things on offer, from fashion, to accessories, to gifts to stationery (I actually just picked up some gorgeous stationery bits the other day!)

I’ve been part of Access All ASOS for a while now and they’ve kindly given me a £50 voucher to shop the sale – woo hoo! £50 isn’t really that much to go shopping with these days, but when there’s a sale on I think I’ll be able to grab quite a few bargains! I originally had my sites set on beauty, accessories and possibly shoes…

asos-sale-picks-acessories

asos-sale-stationery

Ok so you can see I didn’t end up picking up and beauty items, or shoes for that matter! Shoe shopping online can be a bit problematic for me as I’m a 5.5 so shoes often end up not fitting well. I decided to stay safe and went for accessories and stationery this time instead! Oh and I did cheat a little bit… the sale actually started on Monday at 8am, but as I’m part of ASOS Premier, ASOS often email their Premier customers with sale previews, so I sorted the whole of the sale into price order with cheapest first on Sunday evening (obv so I could get the best bargains) and added everything to my save list that I liked the look of. Then when Monday morning came I was all ready to purchase 😀

Here’s what I picked up!

  • (£13.00 not in sale)
  • (£19.99 not in sale)
  • (£4.00)
  • (£7.00)
  • Stance Twister Block Socks (£8.00)
  • (£4.00)
  • (£6.00)
  •  (£3.50)
  •  (£3.50)
  •  (£19.50)

asos-sale-accessories

asos-sale-bracelet

I’m a bit of a magpie and ended up with quite a lot of jewellery, but I snapped up some fantastic bargains – the Gorjana bracelet for example was originally £95, and I got it for less than £20! I’d also highly recommend signing up to ASOS Premier, it’s only £10 for a years’ subscription and you receive free next day delivery with all orders, no matter how small, as well as free courier collection returns – saving you going to the post office, and not forgetting sale previews so you get the best picks of the sale before all the good stuff sells out!

I’m really pleased with my haul, I hope you enjoyed my post and I’d love to hear if you picked up anything in the ASOS sale? xxx

Katie Leamon Luxury Cards & Stationery + Discount Code

Posted on May 8, 2015

katie-leamon-monochrome-stationery

Hi Guys!

Stationery has always been one of my major loves, I actually used to have recurring dreams as a child about a fantasy stationery shop that had wall to ceiling pens and pencils, and I had to climb up a ladder to reach everything, it was amazing! I also remember as a child going to the supermarket with my parents on a Friday evening and I’d always pester for a treat, which would usually end up being some sort of eraser or gel pen set, this was just heaven to me! These days though, I like to think my taste is slightly more refined. I have a fancy Filofax leather organiser and I’m quite partial to a posh pen and notebook too, and now I’ve got my mitts on these gorgeous new goodies…

katie-leamon-stationery

This is the new Monochrome collection from luxury card and stationery designer Katie Leamon, and it’s just gorgeous! I have a polkadot notebook, zig-zag gift wrap and tags, and a selection of greeting cards to share with you today.

The brand Katie Leamon launched in 2011, it’s a reflection of Katie’s love of typography, stationery and vintage curiosities, and it aims to deliver beautiful designs that evoke a sense of nostalgia. The products are simple yet stunning, and I love that they’re predominantly hand printed using individual rubber stamps on top quality papers and cards – this means each product is unique and you can really see the human touch in the finish that runs throughout the brand.

This beautiful new collection features gold-foiled typography designs, monochrome patterns and hand printed, original illustrations. I can’t tell you how much I love everything! The notebook is probably my favourite though (I must admit I do have a bit of a notebook fetish, but that’s normal right??) It’s just so simple and to the point, with such a high quality finish, I think anyone would love it. The greetings cards all come with simple phrases such as ‘Thank You’ or ‘Hello’ leaving you to personalise the inside of the card yourself. I’m also a fan of the recycled paper envelopes that contrast well with the monochrome patterns.

monochrome-stationery

The Monochrome collection starts from £3.50 for a greetings card, and Katie Leamon have also kindly given me a discount code for you guys, you can get 10% off your order with code: TSNC10, this will run for one week from 08/05/15 – 15/05/15.

I’d love to hear what you think of this stationery? I hope you enjoyed my post xxx
