Beauty: Too Faced Natural Love Collection

Posted on June 29, 2017

Hi Guys!

The gorgeous Natural Love collection from Too Faced has recently landed at TSNC HQ, and I have the full lowdown for you today!

Starting with the lovely  (£52.00) – this beautiful palette contains a massive 30 eyeshadow shades, so though it might seem pricey at £52.00, it only works out at £1.73 per shadow, which is actually very reasonable. This is a must have palette for fans of nude and natural looks, but it also includes some darker shades so you can easily create a more in-depth smoky eye if required.

To create this palette, Too Faced selected their favourite neutral shades from three previous bestselling eye palettes – the Natural Eyes, Natural Matte, and Natural At Night palettes. They then paired these eyeshadows with cutting-edge textures and brand new colours – giving a modern spin on the traditional nude eye look. The Natural Love palette contains 7 matte, 13 shimmer and 10 sparkle shades, and the formula of all the shades is silky smooth, and well pigmented.

I haven’t had a chance to try all the shades out in depth as yet, but from what I have tried, I can tell you that Hot & Bothered is fabulous! It’s such a gorgeous burnt orange that really does give amazing colour payoff. Others to note are Love Bug, Push Up and Coffee Date – which are also all shimmer shades – these are definitely the best in terms of finish, and some of my favourite colours from the palette.

Next I have the  (£25.00) – which truly are stunning. I literally love everything about these highlighters! The idea is that Too Faced wanted to capture the ethereal glow that occurs only when you’re in love – aww! This resulted in three beautiful shades, each with an innovative liquid-to-powder formula featuring a luminosity boosting agent and high pearl consistency. These highlighters really do give the most fantastic pearl shimmer finish – without any glitter or chunkiness.

The Love Light Highlighters are available in three shades –

  • You Light Up My Life – a golden yellow.
  • Blinded By The Light  – a champagne silver.
  • Ray of Light – a light beige pink.

And lastly the  (£19.00) – six new shades of Melted Mattes have been introduced in the Natural Love collection, and if you’re not familiar with the Melted Matte formula, you really need to check it out! These are one of my all time favourite liquid lipsticks – they apply like a smooth gloss, giving full, rich colour, and dry down to a true mate finish that lasts for hours.

Swatches from top to bottom –

  • Granny Panties – a lilac toned greige.
  • Wine Not? – a deep wine berry.
  • Wicked – an intense green.
  • Suck It – a muted rose.
  • Holy Chic! – a light nude peach.
  • Jawbreaker – a cool toned intense pink.

Though I’m not a fan of the name, I love the colour of Granny Panties (ha ha!) and I also love Wicked as it’s such an unusual, intense green.

Overall I’m really impressed with this collection. The palette is fantastic and just full of easy to wear shades. The highlighters look beautiful on the skin, and I also love the new innovative shades of the Melted Mattes. I’d love to hear what you think?

Beauty: Kiko Active Fluo Limited Edition Capsule Collection

Posted on June 27, 2017

Hi Guys!

I have the latest limited edition collection from Kiko to share with you today – Active Fluo is their third capsule collection in celebration of their 20th anniversary. Created by fashion designer Arthur Arbesser, the collection combines in-your-face neon colours, with bold graphic motifs, and clean, minimalist shapes.

The make-up is vibrant and the fluo colours brimming with energy, for looks that steal the show. The passion, energy and technical performance inherent in sports are revived in specific products designed to maximize make-up hold. Comfort is at all times a must.

Let’s start with the Neon Eye Pencil (£5.90) – ok so I must admit I was a little confused when I first opened this pencil. I expected a neon green shade due to the packaging, which I think is quite understandable, but this is actually a black eyeliner pencil that becomes fluorescent when exposed to UV light. Which I think is pretty cool! I should point out that this is not suitable for the waterline – I’m assuming due to the ingredient that makes it fluorescent. In terms of an eyeliner, it has a nice soft texture that does the job and can create a decent sharp line. Unfortunately I don’t have access to a fluorescent light so I can’t tell you how well it glows!

The Neon Lip & Body Pencil (£5.90) – is very similar to the above Eye Pencil, it’s basically the same as it glows under fluorescent light, but this pencil is specifically made for the lips and body. This one is also available in three shades which match up to the lipsticks in the collection. I have 01 Stronger Coral, which is a bright pink shade that gives a high-definition line.

Next the Neon Lipstick (£6.90) – this is an amazingly bright intense pink matte lipstick that becomes fluorescent when exposed to UV light. It has a velvety matte texture that isn’t the most long wearing matte I’ve ever worn, but it’s still very good and not as drying as other mattes. This is available in three bold colours, and I have shade 02 Powerful Fuchsia which is a blue toned neon pink.

And lastly the Neon Nail Lacquer (£3.90) – this is a clear, pink tinted nail polish that can be used on its own or as a top coat. It has a plumping effect, and you can probably guess by now it also becomes fluorescent when exposed to UV light. I actually really like this, it’s just something a bit different, and I love that you can put it over any base colour of nail polish to make your nails glow under UV.

Overall this is a great collection – the only thing I will say is it’s a real shame I wasn’t able to get my hands on a UV light – I’d love to have had the chance to test everything out to see how well it all glows. Do let me know if you’ve tried any of these products out under UV as I’d love to hear if they really work!

The Active Fluo collection is available now at  – and is currently on sale at half price, so be sure to snap them up while you can.

Fashion Wish List: Fun at the Fair with Farfetch

Posted on

Hi Guys!

Now I have to say, I don’t usually do competition posts any more, just because the chances of winning are so small, they never seem worth it. BUT, I was invited to take part in FarFetch’s latest competition, and with a £1000 prize up for grabs, I thought it was definitely worth a shot!

So, if you’re not aware of Farfetch, they’re a massive online store selling pretty much every designer fashion item you could want or need ( they have some pretty awesome sales too). They’ve recently launched a new online magazine called , and in celebration of their beautiful editorial content, Farfetch have asked me to create a blog post inspired by one of their articles.

The article which particularly caught my attention was Brighton Fashion: Your Ultimate Guide. I went to Brighton a few years ago for my hen party, and I absolutely love the place. I really can’t rave about it enough. It’s such a wonderful city – dubbed the LGBTQ capital of the UK, Brighton is home to one of the largest Pride events in the country. It’s also full of quirky independent shops, vintage boutiques and of course the famous Brighton Pier. It’s definitely a place worth visiting if you haven’t already.

In terms of style, you’ll find a real eclectic mix in Brighton. There’s an underlying sense of fun and escapism – which I think is why I love it there so much. So with this in mind, I’ve put together a little wish list inspired by Brighton…

I’d love to hear what you think? I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

ASOS Beauty Confidence ‘Come Together’ Event #ASOSmagazine

Posted on

Hi Guys!

If you follow me on social you may have seen I was recently in London with ASOS – I was very excited to attend their Beauty Confidence Chat in collaboration with the latest ‘Come Together’ issue of ASOS magazine.

We were told to expect discussions on issues of identity, diversity, beauty confidence, and the changing face of the beauty industry. As well as live demos on summer beauty trends and a preview of the latest beauty and grooming collections at ASOS.

Well as you can probably imagine I was absolutely thrilled to be invited to such a fantastic sounding event! I absolutely love ASOS and apart from their ever expanding beauty range, I pick up 90% of my clothes and accessories from there too. So I instantly replied with a YES!

When we arrived at the venue, which was a photography studio, the first thing I noticed was rows of desks set up like beauty workstations – each with its own mirror, makeup set, accessories and brushes. We grabbed some drinks and took out places for the chat…

The chat was hosted by ASOS and included three of the models featured in the above ‘Someone Like You’ spread in the latest edition of ASOS magazine. We met Coral, Ash and Jordan, and they spoke about their heritage, background, and individual style, as well as their opinions on the modelling and beauty industry. It was so interesting to hear, and I love the fact that ASOS are championing diversity in across both fashion and beauty on their site.

What I learned from the event is that ASOS are supportive and inclusive of everyone, no matter your gender, ethnicity, age or background. I love ASOS’ attitude, and that they’re encouraging the use of creative makeup as an expression of your personality – it’s all about how it makes you FEEL. If you feel fab wearing blue lipstick, then do it, if applying green sparkly eyeshadow makes you feel happy and confident, then go for it!

I loved practicing some of the makeup looks we were taught, and spent most of the afternoon with amazing iridescent glitter on my face – I definitely don’t wear glitter enough!

I feel very inspired now to be more experimental and creative with my makeup – I’m planning to share some makeup looks on my upcoming Youtube channel, so keep an eye out for the launch which will hopefully be in the next month or so.

Going back to ASOS now – if you shop their beauty section, you may have noticed more recently that they now show hand swatches on site – which really is handy (see what I did there). And they’re also starting to roll out mini demo videos of beauty products too – so you can get a better idea of how to apply and use products that may be a bit more involved, such as certain skincare products and devices. I think this is such a fantastic and innovative idea, as well as being really helpful for customers.

I can’t thank ASOS enough for putting on such a fantastic day, as well as their amazing generosity. Hopefully this will be the first of many more ASOS Beauty events to come!

Massive USA Beauty Haul & My Mall Box Service Review

Posted on June 20, 2017

Hi Guys!

If you follow me on you may have seen my massive US beauty haul that I shared a little while ago on my stories. Over the past few months I’ve been purchasing LOADS of bits and pieces from various US sites and having them sent to my US PO Box address – and I’ve finally got round to shipping them over here.

I’ll just quickly touch on what I’ve ordered – I’ll have full reviews of everything coming up shortly, but if anything catches your eye please shout and I’ll make it a priority –

 – These are the three new iridescent duo chrome finish Magnificent Metal Liquid Eyeshadows from Stila – they’re gorgeous! I bought these quite a while ago now and they’re still not available in the UK, so I’m really glad I picked them up.

 – This is actually available in the UK now, but out of stock unfortunately. This nifty little pen contains three eyeliners and a nude lipliner in a click pen style – it’s such an unusual and fun concept!

A Selection of Korean beauty products from – I picked up a load of weird and wonderful sounding products from MeMeBox, including the above Pony Effect eyeshadow palette and Primer, as well as plenty of masks, including bubble masks and magical foaming beans! And I also grabbed som wine themed makeup (as you do) – I’m actually thinking of starting a Youtube channel and trying these products out on there. I think it could be really fun trying them out live on camera. Let me know if you’d like to see that!

I’d been wanting to try Tape Shape forever, and though they sell it here at QVC, they never had my shade in stock. I picked up the two lightest shades.

 – This was just a real splurge, honestly I’m such a sucker for pretty packaging! As soon as I saw this limited edition set I knew I had to have it! This is a limited edition colourful makeup bag that contains three lip glosses.

– I think I originally saw this advertised on Facebook, it sounded like a great facial set, and seemed to have really great reviews.

Like I said, please do let me know if you’d like to hear more about any of these products!

So, let’s take about now…

It was actually about a year ago now that I first reviewed the My Mall Box service – and they’ve made quite a few changes and improvements since then. Just to briefly explain, My Mall Box is essentially a shipping service that allows you to purchase items from the US and have them shipped to the UK – where shipping usually wouldn’t be possible from the companies directly.

When I wrote my last review, there were still a few restrictions with My Mall Box, as certain companies don’t (and still don’t) ship to the UK, or even to PO Boxes in the US. My Mall Box have now overcome this hurdle by offering a service that will buy the item for you, and have it shipped to your dedicated PO Box My Mall Box address, before forwarding on to you in the UK. There is a small fee for this service, but it does allow you to pick up items that would otherwise be unable to get hold of. An example of this is Stila. As soon as I tried their Magnificent Metals I was in love, then when I saw the new Duo Chrome shades I had to have them! They aren’t yet available in the UK and the Stila US site doesn‘t ship to the UK, or to PO Boxes in the US. So I completed the Buy For Me option at My Mall Box, sent them payment and they ordered what I wanted and had it delivered to my own ‘box’ at the My Mall Box warehouse, ready to be sent on to me – easy!

This really is such a handy service to have, and I believe this is the only mailing company that offers it currently (but please tell me if I’m wrong). My Mall Box are also looking into offering some really handy additional services and options – such as discounts and deals for regular customers – they’ve told me they’ll be rolling out their new services throughout the rest of the year, so I look forward to finding out and trialling what they’ll be offering.

At the moment like I said above, you can get MMB to ‘buy for you’, and they also have a page on their site where you can compare their shipping rates and fees to other providers, so you can make sure you’re getting the best deal, as well as a calculator so you can check what shipping options are provided before going ahead and purchasing your items.

You can also split a package into two smaller packages, have multiple items opened and repackaged together (to keep shipping costs down) and there’s a very handy FAQ section on the site that literally covers everything – and you can always email their customer services team who are fantastic at answering questions too.

The only thing I would mention to be aware of is it’s worth making a mental note of the restricted items list before making any purchases. Just like the UK, there are certain problem items that they can’t ship – the things that would affect me personally are items like fragrances and candles. This is just a handy thing to know before you place any orders.

If you’re interested in purchasing products from the US, I’d highly recommend you sign up to MMB. It’s easy to use, convenient and cost effective. You can sign up and doing so via this link will also give you a credit to your account.

I’d love to hear if you use mail referring services? I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

Luxury Father’s Day Gift Guide

Posted on June 15, 2017

Hi Guys!

Welcome to my second Father’s Day Gift guide! (You can check out my first Quirky & Fun Gift Guide here) Today though, I have some gorgeous luxury scents to share with you, as well as a personalised bottle of fine Scotch Whisky – which any dad would love, and a gorgeous pen and notepad set. I hope you enjoy!

Starting with Cartier L’Envol de Cartier (from £70.00 at ) – this strong oriental-transparent fragrance was inspired by mead, the honeyed wine known as the nectar of the Gods. Described as an elixir which stirs up the mind, stimulates passion, and lights the unknown, L’Envol de Cartier is both strong and mellow with sweet notes set against airy musk.

The fragrance opens with sweet and soft Honey Accord, leading to a misty cloud of Musk, before becoming more rounded with notes of powerful and masculine Gaiac Wood and Patchoili.

  • Top Notes: Honey Accord
  • Heart Notes: Musk
  • Base Notes: Guaiac Wood and Patchouli

Next Annick Goutal Eau D’Hadrien (£91.00 at ) – I absolutely love Annick Goutal fragrances, and Eau D’ Hadrien is a stunning scent for both men and women, it’s perfect for lovers of refreshing, citrus fragrances.

Eau D’ Hadrien is a wonderfully light concentration of fragrance made with a fresh combination of pure essences, to invigorate and excite the senses, evoking a sense of the sparkling warmth of the Italian sun. The fragrance opens with refreshing citrus notes of sharp Sicilian Lemon and subtle Citron, leading to a heart of juicy Grapefruit and energetic green notes, with a mellow, woody base of Sandalwood, Amber, Patchouli and Vanilla.

  • Top Notes: Bergamot, Sicilian Lemon and Citron.
  • Heart Notes: Cypress, Basil Leaf and Grapefruit.
  • Base Notes: Sandalwood, Amber, Patchouli and Vanilla.

For those that love to write, the Lamy LX Gold Rollerball Pen (£36.00) and Original Crown Mill A5 Writing Pad (£6.50) both at Pen Heaven would make a wonderful set of gifts.

The Lamy LX Gold Rollerball pen is made from lightweight durable aluminium and features a beautiful gold finish with matching trim and carry case. And what is a fabulous pen without quality writing paper? With a history dating back as far as 1478, Original Crown Mill are the gold standard of traditional writing paper. This A5 Writing pad includes 50 sheets of 100gsm laid paper, with a textured finish. The high quality paper is fantastic for all writing types as it prevents bleed-through and feathering, and this timeless paper will ensure each and every letter is an exceptional writing experience.

Next a fantastic collection of products from Burberry – Mr Burberry EDP, Body Wash and Hair & Beard Clay (From £22.00) at  would each make perfect gifts on their own, or you could even present them together in a mini hamper, which would be lovely.

Mr. Burberry Eau de Parfum is described as an intense interpretation of the original Mr. Burberry, the fragrance aims to capture the essence and anticipation of London at nighttime. This is a warm, sensual and woody scent, which opens with fresh and aromatic top notes of Tarragon and comforting, spicy Cinnamon, leading to a heart of rich Patchouli and a base of Amber and smokey Vetiver.

  • Top Notes: Tarragon and Cinnamon.
  • Heart Note: Patchouli.
  • Base Notes: Amber and Vetiver.

The Mr. Burberry Body Wash is subtly infused with the invigorating and sensual fragrance of Mr. Burberry EDT to leave skin scented after use, with notes of crisp zesty Grapefruit and a seductive base of earthy Vetiver and smokey Guaiac Wood.

And the Mr. Burberry Hair and Beard Clay helps to shape, manage and maintain style. Again infused with Mr. Burberry EDT to leave a light scent following application, the Hair and Beard Clay locks in moisture, giving hair a smooth and groomed finish.

And lastly, I think this Personalised Single Malt Whisky (£39.99 at ) would make the most wonderful present this Father’s Day.

The drink itself is a fine single malt whisky from Glen Grant in Scotland, offering an impressive 40% vol. The label can be personalised to include a name, birth year, or year celebrated, and a message of your choice. The bottle is then packaged safely in a a gold presentation and carry box, perfect for gifting.

Are you all ready for Father’s Day? I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

Beauty: NEW Lime Crime Diamond Crushers & Hi-Lite Opals Palette

Posted on

Hi Guys!

You may have caught my post the other week letting you know that Lime Crime products are now available at ASOS – well I have a couple more exciting new launches to share with you today!

The new Hi-Lite Opals Palette (£33.00 at ) is Lime Crime’s first ever highlighter palette – it’s literally just landed in at ASOS, and it looks SO good! Inspired by the magic of opalescent stones, this palette contains three beautiful iridescent highlighter shades in Pink, Gold, and Peach shift.

The three shades come in a finely milled, silky formula, which promises to melt seamlessly into skin and adapt to your complexion, lasting all day without the need for re-application. The powders are all really buttery smooth, with each giving a true glow highlight that doesn’t contain any glitter particles.

I think my favourite in terms of colour is the Pink, it’s such a striking true pink that looks amazing when it catches the light. But I do feel the Gold shade has a slightly better consistency, allowing it to give a slightly more intense shine compared to the other two shades. All three are fantastic though, and this palette is definitely worth the splurge!

And I also have three of Lime Crime’s new Diamond Crushers (£15.00 at ) – these iridescent lip toppers can be used just as they are to add a reflective, shimmery look to lips – but for more of a dramatic look they work amazingly well on top of other liquid lipsticks, especially darker shades.

The Diamond Crushers Lip Toppers are available in five iridescent shades –

  • Choke – a pale pink/blue shift hue
  • Dope – a cotton candy champagne
  • Lit – a rose gold ‘on acid’
  • Fluke – a chill mauve
  • Trip – a delirium purple

The formula is surprisingly lightweight (also water-based) and is filled with light-reflective iridescent shimmer particles which shift and change and just look amazing when they catch the light. I thought the Diamond Crushers might feel a bit chunky and gritty, due to the nature of them, but surprisingly they don’t, they apply very smoothly and feel like there’s almost nothing on your lips.

The shades I have swatched above are (from the top) Dope, Trip, and Fluke. What you can’t see from the swatches is the beautiful iridescent glitter in each of the shades – I love them all!

So as I’ve said, you can wear these on their own, or on top of a matte finish liquid lipstick to add a whole new dimension. I’m pleased to say it doesn’t take off your liquid lipstick when you apply, and stays on for hours on end. Of course technically these are lip toppers, but you really can wear them anywhere you’d like to, such as on the eyes or on top of your cheekbone highlight for added intensity. I should mention that I can’t confirm if they’re safe for eyes though, the site doesn’t say either way.

Overall I think these are fab products, I haven’t seen anything else like them available on the market as yet – so if you’re a fan of iridescent and holo finishes in your makeup, these are definitely a must have.

Lime Crime products are available now at .
